Cath Lab Nurse

A state-of-the-art unit at a modern healthcare facility requires the services of a Cath Lab Scrub Nurse to join their well-reputed team. The nursers role is to monitor and examine patients prior to procedures, as well as during and after surgery. They also administer medications and assist the medical team in whatever they may need during the procedure.

**Requirements**:

- Degree or Diploma in General Nursing Science
- Certificate/Diploma in ICU/Critical Care is advantageous
- Valid SANC registration
- Minimum of 3 years’ post qualification experience
- Cathlab experience is essential
- Own transport compulsory
- Availability for Day Duty and Night Duty work is compulsory
- Work overtime and be on-call when required

**Key Outputs(but not limited)**
- Assesses, utilizing age specific data, the patient’s physical status in a comprehensive manner.
- Performs initial assessment and completes required documentation within hospital standards.
- Observation, physical examination, laboratory/test results, and patient response to procedures.
- Reviews and revises plan of care according to change in patient’s status.
- Assists other staff in the delivery of patient care, as appropriate.
- Promoting optimal patient outcomes through patient teaching and discharge planning.
- Maintains a discharge plan and referral information to ensure continuity of care after discharge.

**Salary**: R32,500.00 - R45,500.00 per month
