Senior Financial Systems Analyst bridges the gap between finance, technology, and data analysis. Their expertise ensures efficient financial processes and accurate reporting within organisations. You need to ensure the smooth operation of financial systems within an organisation.

**Responsibilities**:

- Improve, enhance and maintain Operating Financial Systems
- Configure, implement, maintain, and customise the systems that store and process financial data.
- Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to determine primary needs and goals and create solutions to meet those objectives.
- They work closely with the IT unit to implement and support Finance-related technology projects and initiatives.
- Configure systems, perform data migration, oversee the implementation of workflow processes, assist with user access and permissions, and perform ongoing troubleshooting.
- Prepare reports and create a variety of other materials including training documentation and department procedures.
- Ensure efficient collection, retrieval, accessibility, and utilization of financial data to facilitate departmental planning and activities.
- Actively participating in system and process re-engineering efforts, they evaluate the impact of process changes within the organisation.
- Perform data analysis using various techniques.
- Analysing data to provide detailed information to senior management regarding the firms financial performance, strategic plans, and significant financial management issues.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Bachelors degree in information technology
- Minimum Qualification - IT Certification.
- Knowledge of Oracle and Java (Advantageous).
- 5 years + experience in development or business system knowledge
- Hands-on Software Development experience.
- Understanding of Object-Oriented analysis and design using common patterns.
- Familiarity with the Spring Framework.

- Must have knowledge of finance environment i.e understand financial systems (loans management system).
- General Ledger reporting and balancing.
- Must understand and be able to read code (Java).
- Data Analysis experience. (Advantageous)
- Knowledge of Oracle and Java (Advantageous).
- Knowledge of financial / mathematical calculations (Advantageous)
- Data analytics to find financial bugs.
- Financial testing.
- Build Excel spreadsheets to proof financial calculations.
- Sit with BAs to document financial requirements.
- Detailed understanding of all IFRS requirements to ensure correct financial reporting.
- Close to all NCA queries.
- Detailed involvement in audit queries.
- Work very close with financial managers and CFOs
- Excellent understanding of financial / mathematical calculation
