Cape Town: An established supplier and hirer of industrial, construction and power tools and equipment and handling, has a vacancy for a Forklift Technician to join their team.

**Requirements**:

- Grade 12
- Trade Qualification: (Diesel / Auto Electric / Forklift trade test certificate)
- Minimum of 5 years mechanical, hydraulic and electrical experience pertaining to forklifts
- General working knowledge of auto electrical systems
- Experience in a similar environment would be advisable
- Maintain current product knowledge of all equipment
- Must be able to communicate with customers at all levels
- Must adhere to all SHE requirements
- Good trouble-shooting skills
- Must be in possession of a valid driver’s license
- Well-disciplined and self-motivated
- Proficient in the English language (verbal and written)
- Good EQ skills
- Able to work with minimum supervision

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Perform related work on forklifts
- Provide technical and diagnostic assistance within the service department as per customer requirements
- Responsible for the repair and preventative maintenance of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical forklifts, on-site and off-site
- Represent the best career interests of professionals in the industry
- Perform scheduled maintenance tasks and maintain an accurate record thereof
- Troubleshoot and resolve problems with forklifts, ensuring mínimal downtime
- Collaborate with manufacturers and suppliers to procure parts and ensure timely delivery
- Maintain accurate records of all repairs and maintenance carried out
