Tramper Technology SA designs and builds innovative and efficient packaging machinery with the support of our Dutch parent company. We are looking for a capable and responsible technician to join our team in Somerset West, Western Cape.

**A junior automation technician’s core responsibilities are**:

- Wiring & debugging of machine control panels
- Electrical installation and servicing of industrial machinery

**After some growth, they could also perform**:

- Drawing of industrial machine electrical schematics
- Configuration & tuning of servo & frequency drives
- Customisation of PLC programs
- Testing of new machines for Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT’s)

**Minimum Qualifications**:

- BTech. (Adv. Dip.) in Mechatronic or Electrical/Electronic Engineering (by Dec 2023)

**Other requirements**:

- Ability to read & interpret electrical schematics
- Driver’s license & own transport
- Professional competency in English

**Preferred additional skills/experience**:

- Wiring of industrial control panels
- Basic understanding of servo motors and other industrial electronic components
- Basic proficiency in Afrikaans

**Offer**:

- Starting January 2024 or sooner
- 40 hours per week (full-time)
- 15 days annual leave
- Negotiable salary
