**Introduction**

Our based in Durban is looking for a Lab Technician/ Lab Process Engineer to join their team.

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- New paint batch trials and approval.
- Perform daily surface tests.
- Draw graphes as per requirements.
- Operate computer linked with lab testing softwares.
- Perform TTR for oven on weekly basis or when required.
- Support production team for analysis of defects.
- Take temorary and permanent countermeasures for above mentioned contents.
- Maintain good knowledge of plastic painted parts and give inputs for improvement
- Daily check booth paremeters and correct it before startup of paint.
- Support to production to improve the process and implement ideas for improvement.
- Make plans for process and product audit and perform on defined frequency. Work instructions and training to operators for the same.
- Drive red bin analysis actvity to reduce rejection.
- Investigate the process problem and take appropriate actions.
- Able to check all requirements of new shade & make documents accordingly.
- Able to make system documents and work with team during IMS audits.

**Desired Experience & Qualification**
- Relevant tertiary qualification - Chemical or Paint technology
- Experience working in a lab monitoring processes and performing batch trials, in a manufacturing environment.
- Computer literacy.
- Have basic knowledge of robotic painting processes and troubleshooting.
