**Job description**:
Responsible for sourcing new business in the Gauteng area amongst existing brokers and new brokers, as well as manage and underwrite new and existing portfolios effectively with agreed loss ratios. Providing a high-quality service to brokers to ensure retention and growth of portfolios.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop the Broker base and build sound relationships
- Optimising underwriting performance at a policy and portfolio level
- Premium growth as per target
- Loss ratio as per target
- Manage underwriting process
- Underwriting risks
- Management of systems & processes
- Effective reporting on a monthly basis
- Business development (quotes, new business)
- Training & Development
- Quality control (commission, work, training, complaints and customer service)
- To assist in the handling of complex queries and complaints (admin & claims)
- Promotional/ Marketing / Special Events

**Minimum Requirements**:

- FAIS Accredited / Compliant
- Relevant industry qualification (Full Short-Term qualification and RE 5)
- Excellent sales and relationship abilities
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in similar role
- Strong technical Short-term insurance knowledge in both personal and commercial lines
- Own mode of transport

- Insurance systems knowledge
- Business orientated attitude, professionalism and client service focus
- Communication skills
- Time and self-management
- Interpersonal skills

License/Certification:

- RE 5 certificate (required)
- NQF 4 short-term insurance certificate (required)
