Mentor/au Pair

We are currently seeking a mentor/au pair from the Cape Winelands area for a 16-year-old neurodivergent teenager.

Responsibilities and Schedule: The role requires flexibility, with Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays having adjustable timings. However, on Tuesdays, the hours would be 09h00 to 18h00 and on Thursdays, the hours would be from 09h00 to 16h00.

Duties include:
Providing companionship and emotional support to the teenager at home.

Assisting with his emotional regulation.

Monitoring sugar levels and managing his diabetes care.

Engaging in online games and activities that the teenager enjoys.

Going for walks and outdoor activities together, fostering a healthy lifestyle.

Preparing simple meals for the teenager at times if and when needed.

Occasional driving for certain appointments and outings.

**Requirements**:
Fluent in English.

Fun, relaxed, and non-demanding approach, creating a comfortable environment for the teenager.

Familiarity with a low arousal approach to minimize stress and anxiety.

Must have a reliable car and valid driver’s license.

A background in psychology would be an advantage, as it can help in understanding and supporting the teenager's unique needs.

Special interest or appreciation for cats and rats would be beneficial, as they share this passion.

**Salary**: R8,000.00 - R12,000.00 per month
