We are seeking a meticulous and organized Junior Bookkeeper to join our team, overseeing the financial aspects of our property rental management portfolio. This role is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in bookkeeping and a keen interest in property management. You will work closely with our property management team to ensure accurate financial records, manage payments, and oversee budget tracking for our rental properties.

Key Responsibilities
- **Daily Transaction Management**: Record and categorize daily financial transactions related to property rentals, such as tenant payments, maintenance expenses, and other operational costs.
- **Invoicing and Payments**: Prepare and issue rental invoices to tenants, track incoming payments, and follow up on overdue accounts. Assist with tenant deposit management and refunds where necessary.
- **Accounts Reconciliation**: Reconcile bank statements with company records, ensuring all transactions are accurate and discrepancies are resolved promptly.
- **Expense Tracking**: Track property-related expenses, monitor budgets for each property, and report any variances to the property management team.
- **Vendor and Supplier Management**: Process payments to vendors for services rendered (e.g., maintenance, utilities), ensuring accuracy and timeliness of payments.
- **Financial Reporting**: Prepare monthly financial reports, including income statements, cash flow statements, and budget analyses. Assist in preparing quarterly and annual reports for management.
- **Compliance**: Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and accounting standards related to property management.
- **Record Maintenance**: Maintain organized financial records and assist in year-end audits by providing necessary documentation and reports.

Qualifications and Skills
- **Education**: Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- **Experience**: 1-2 years of experience in bookkeeping or a related field, ideally within property management or real estate.
- **Technical Skills**: Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
- **Attention to Detail**: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping and reporting.
- **Communication Skills**: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with tenants, vendors, and team members.
- **Organizational Skills**: Ability to manage multiple properties and tasks simultaneously, prioritize workloads, and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualities
- Familiarity with property management software or rental property financial workflows is a plus.
- Understanding of local financial regulations related to property rentals.
- Problem-solving skills and ability to work well within a team environment.
