Farm Manager

**Lothair / Ermelo / Amsterdam Area - Mpumalanga**: Our client is looking for a Farm Manager - Cattle & Tree Plantation to join the team.

**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS**
- Agricultural Diploma/Degree advantageous
- 5 years Farm Management experience
- 5 years’ experience in tree plantations
- 5 years’ experience in working with cows
- Computer literate
- Maintenance and mechanically orientated
- Ability to lead and work with a team
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Valid driver’s license

**RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO**:

- Managing of duties Herdsmen and workers and keeping attendance register on daily basis
- Counting and reporting number of Cattle on a daily basis
- Assisting in management of Cattle, including feeding, branding, dosage, birth assistance, well-being, safekeeping (predators) and protection (theft)
- Handling of Labour disputes and Disciplinaries, whilst following correct procedures
- Assist in managing the planting of tree seedlings and coppicing of trees
- Preparing plantations for Winter (Firebrakes, scraping and discing) and readiness of fire-fighting equipment
- Upkeeping of managing readiness of fire-fighting equipment and satisfying all FPA requirements
- Upkeeping of all roads and fences on the farms (scraping and water lead-outs)
