This position, reporting to the HR Team Leader, is based at our Head Office in Cape Town and will be expected to alternate between working from Head Office and our DC in Montague Gardens. **Purpose**:
- To support the Head Office HRBP’s with comprehensive HR Administration and process maintenance for Head Office, Green Thread Design Studio, the Distribution Centre and Sparks & Ellis.
- To fulfil the role of administrative business partner to all key stakeholders
**Responsibilities**:
- Creating and maintaining employee records on relevant systems and updating internal databases
- Provide support and guidance to team members, being the first point of contact for employees on any HR related issues
- Preparing and maintaining HR documents
- Communicating with stakeholders across various departments
- Assisting with payroll processing and administration across Head office, DC and Sparks & Ellis
- Conduct ITC, criminal and reference checks for recruitment purposes
- Building and maintaining effective business relationships with colleagues and key stakeholders by initiating and maintaining regular interactions
- Support the management of disciplinary and grievance issues
- Responsible for all HR-Related Invoicing
- Ad-hoc duties as required
**Requirements / Experience**:
- Matric / Grade 12 Certificate essential
- A relevant tertiary qualification (HR / Industrial Relations Degree)
- A Minimum of 2-years work experience in a similar role is essential (HR Administration / HR Officer)
- Analytical and reporting skills are highly advantageous
- Working knowledge of recruitment platforms essential (Direct Hire will be advantageous)
- Working knowledge of HR / payroll systems essential (PaySpace will be advantageous)
- Microsoft 365 proficiency is a must
- Knowledge of employment and labour legislation is an important requirement of the role
- Previous retail experience will be very beneficial
