Mining Chief Geologist

**Job Duties/Responsibilities will include**:
Plan, implement, control and monitor approved changes;
Business intelligence and trend analyses;
Functional process optimisation;
Implement operations effectiveness model and practice;
Promote and enforce compliance;
Plan, direct and assess quality management within function;
Input into functional planning;
Micro
- and macro-economic awareness;
Mine geology and resources reserve management;
Exploration geology;
Research and development;
Grade control;
Ground water modelling;
Comply with IMS standards;
Implement cost control systems;
Internal and external stakeholder relationships;
Implement and manage people development initiatives;
People development and identify training gaps;
Functional performance management;
Grade 12
Bachelor Hons Degree in Geology or General Diploma in Engineering or Mineral Resource Management or Mining Engineering (required);
Diploma in Business Management (Advantageous)
Eight (8) Years Operational Mining Geology (In Total) Experience (required);
Five (5) Years Operational Commodity-Specific (Iron Ore) Experience (required);
Three (3) Years People Management Experience (required);
Valid Code B Driving License (required).
