Sovereign Foods is a national supplier of quality chicken products to various markets and has operations in five provinces. The Agricultural division is looking for individual to assume the responsibilities of Logistics Manager. The Logistics Manager will be responsible for inbound and outbound logistics and balance stock requirements with lead times. A tertiary qualification related to Logistics is required, as well as 5 years’ hands-on logístical experience, with a proven track record of expediting ordering and delivery of raw materials and finished goods, combined with stock controls. This position carries a TASK grade of T13 and reports to the Senior Production Manager.

**Results Required**
- Liaise with raw material suppliers, transporters and storage facilities.
- Maintain optimized stock levels at all times.
- Plan, track and communicate all deliveries.
- Formally schedule all deliveries of raw materials and finished goods.
- Ensure quality of a raw materials received.
- Address non-conformances with suppliers and buyers.
- Receive weekly orders and draw up delivery plan in conjunction with input from Mill Manager.
- Liaise with Contract Farm Managers, reconcile feed orders on agreed times and update delivery plan timeously.
- Manage transport contractor and ensure truck availability.
