Occupational Hygienist

In this role, you will be responsible for conducting thorough assessments of workplace environments in the North West region, identifying potential hazards, and implementing control measures to mitigate risks. You will also work closely with clients in the area to develop and implement effective occupational health and safety programs. Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to work alongside a team of professionals dedicated to ensuring the well-being of employees and companies in the North West region.
**Responsibilities**:
- Conduct comprehensive workplace assessments in the North West region to identify potential health hazards
- Collect and analyze occupational hygiene data to evaluate exposure risks and recommend control measures
- Develop and implement occupational health and safety programs in compliance with relevant regulations
- Provide expert advice and guidance to clients in the North West region on occupational hygiene practices and standards
- Conduct training sessions for employees in the North West region on the importance of maintaining a safe working environment
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement in occupational health and safety practices in the North West region
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in occupational hygiene
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Hygiene, Environmental Science, or a related field
- Registration with the South African Institute of Occupational Hygiene [SAIOH] on Occupational Hygienist level
- CoM Advance Certificate in Mine Environmental Control
- At least 5 years post qualification experience in the field of occupational hygiene in the mining industry
- Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations and standards
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
- Proficient in using occupational hygiene equipment and software
