Marimba Jam seeks to appoint a **Full-time Sales and Marketing Specialist **to commence duties by **June 2023**

Marimba Jam is a women-led **social-enterprise** that **teaches and performs the African Marimba,** specialising in various services**:Professional Performances, Education Programs, and Large-scale Events.**

We are looking to appoint a **Sales and Marketing Specialist **to oversee our company’s promotion and advertising efforts **to drive sales and build brand awareness.** Their responsibilities include developing and implementing a **marketing plan and sales strategy **to strengthen the company's market presence, to conduct **market research and analysis**, creating and **overseeing campaigns** and **measuring the ROI** of various advertising methods.

The successful applicant will be suitably qualified according to the following _**minimum requirements**:_
- Experience working with both marketing and sales departments
- Proven track record of delivering successful marketing campaigns and driving sales growth.
- Thorough Knowledge of Google Ads and web analytics (e.g. Google Analytics, WebTrends etc.) and Google Adwords.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing or relevant field
- Experience working in the wedding and events industry is advantageous
- Experience working in the live band music entertainment industry is advantageous
- Knowledge of internet marketing campaigns, including SEO is advantageous
- Proficient with design software is advantageous (e.g. Canva, Divi Builder and Wordpress, Youtube, Video editing software)
- Leadership and/or managerial experience is advantageous

Salary**:R18 000 to R20 000 per month**

**Please note that this is a 10-month contract made possible by the BASA PESP3 Funding. At the end of the 10-month period, a permanent employment contract may be made available depending on the financial growth of the company.

*The successful applicant must be able to work predominantly from home and be able to commute to Cape Town and surrounding areas when needed. They must be available for occasional weekend and after-hour events.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Sales Management and Implementation**:

- Maximise long term sales and profitability of Marimba Jam through Sales Management and Performance Tracking and Reporting.
- Identify and implement lead generation strategies, including digital marketing campaigns, content marketing, social media marketing, and other relevant marketing channels, to generate a steady stream of qualified leads.
- Create and manage marketing collateral such as sales materials, product brochures, website content, and other marketing materials to support sales efforts and enhance brand positioning.
- Optimising the company's CRM system

**Marketing Strategy and Implementation**:

- Focus on defining and driving growth strategies
- Develop successful strategies and campaigns that attract new customers and keep current clients
- Establish positioning, identify target audiences, and develop marketing plans tailored to each of our different product and service offerings
- Working with the executive team and marketing manager, design and implement comprehensive marketing strategies that create awareness of the company's business activities and that align with business targets.
- Lead the planning and execution of campaigns for corporate promotion, launching of new product lines, events etc.
- Responsible for producing valuable content for the company’s online presence, editorial design and organizing the company’s publications
- Collaborating with other executives to make high-level decisions about the company's budget and direction, controlling budgets, allocating resources, identifying scheduling and budget needs, and developing and monitoring the annual and quarterly brand budget.

**Market Research and Analysis**:

- Review current marketing trends and advertisements to determine the effectiveness of different styles and strategies
- Coordinate market research and analyze the resulting data to identify the values and buying habits of their target customers.
