Lodge Manager

We are looking for a young dynamic **Lodge Manager, **who will create a world class experience for both our guests and our people. We require individuals who are high performers and driven by collaboration and a team environment.

What you will be doing:

- Assist the owners with the overall running of the lodge
- Ensuring that Qambathi is recognised as an award-winning and world-leading lodge
- Ensuring the profitability of the lodge
- Leading a team of 11
- Assisting with all health and safety protocols
- Upholding the Qambathi brand and overall standards
- Ensuring that you are continually developing in the business
- Timeous support and communication with the team and owners
- Coordinate central procurement / deliveries and invoicing
- Daily administration tasks
- Reservations / bookings
- Monthly tasks and stock take
- Leave rosters and people related issues
- Ensuring that we provide our guests with a world class experience
- Hosting, bar, checking in and out.
- Guest invoicing
- Supervise and support the grounds team including plumbing, electrical, fire breaks, maintenance etc.
- collect supplies (driving licence is essential)
- drop off and collect staff

**REQUIREMENTS THAT WILL PUT YOU ON THE TOP OF THE LIST**
- Lodge, hotel or hospitality experience
- Health & Safety and first aid trained
- History with working in a remote location
- Proven track record of successfully leading a team (leading, motivating coaching etc)

**BASIC REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE**
- Ability to make quick but sound decisions
- Emotional intelligence
- Excellent communicator
- Excellent command of the English language
- Computer literate
- Able to work and live in a remote area.
- Drivers license

**Permanent**: Basic Salary improving with benefits following 1 year of service

**Accommodation**: On site - small cottage with basic living items. Gas, water, electric and wifi included.

**Work cycle**: 1 day off per week durning probation then 1 day off a week or or 3 weeks on 1 week off
