- Experience in sharing insights to business, commercialization, the changing agency, and partner ecosystem
- Experience leading virtual or matrix teams and influencing stakeholders
- Experience in people management
Preferred qualifications:
- MBA degree or equivalent practical experience
- Experience in project management and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Experience in business development and sales
- Agency knowledge and experience (digital and traditional/offline) and an understanding of the media agency landscape in SSA
- Experience presenting analysis, proposals, and strategies to executive leadership with an affinity for metrics
- Excellent problem-solving skills

The Large Customer Sales (LCS) Agency team partners closely with many of the world’s advertisers and agencies to develop digital solutions that build strong businesses and brands. We enjoy a bird’s eye view on the massive transformation occurring as advertising shifts to mobile and online platforms. We're uniquely situated to help shape how companies grow their businesses in the digital age. We advise clients on Google's broad range of products across search, video, and mobile to help them connect instantly and seamlessly with their audiences.

**Responsibilities**:
- Define the future of the South African agency ecosystem that drives the market's growth both in existing and untapped opportunities from Google. Work with specialists to analyze and identify the most impact areas to action.
- Recruit, retain, and develop a team of people managers, agency development managers and agency customer strategists. Coach front-line manager and this high-performing team and help them engage with executive stakeholders at agencies and advertisers.
- Own and strengthen executive-level agency relationships and business growth strategy consultation through C-level meetings, quarterly reviews, and speaking engagements.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration and alignment with partner teams, including Marketing, Global Customer Solutions, Go-To-Market Teams, Sales Finance, and agency teams.
- Develop the necessary infrastructure and processes. Initiate and run strategic initiatives to further develop new and existing agency businesses.
