Junior Tester

**Position: Junior Tester**

**Key Job Purpose**:
Be part of a team ensuring all mechanical and electrical testing of equipment leaving the factory has been completed.

**Duties**:

- Ensure all mechanical and electrical testing of equipment leaving the factory or being installed on site. (Checking that the correct material has been installed as per specification, this will include wiring colors and sizes.)
- Making sure that the Quality Assurance documents are up to date per projects and filed.
- Marked up drawings to be handed over and corrected to “As Built Drawings”.
- General Quality Control in the factory. (Checking that the contractors and employees are using the correct tools per project, touching up of punch list items and checking of factory tools)
- Ensure correct communication is handed over to manufacturing (punch list and defects list).
- Ensure production sheet is checked daily and is updated continuously.

**Other**:

- Any other tasks as may be provided by management from time to time

**Qualifications**:

- Qualified Electrician/ Red Seal
- Wiremen’s License
- COC Qualification
- N4-N6

**Experience**
- 1-2 years
- Experience working for a quality assurance team in a Low Voltage electrical industry

- Being able to read and understand a single line diagram and electrical drawing

- SANS 1973-3

**Working hours**
- You might be part required to work outside of the normal working hours, which could include weekends.
- Monday-Thursday: 7:30 - 17:00
- Friday 7:30 - 15:00

**Remuneration**
- R7,000- R10,000 (Dependent on experience)
