**Retail Assistant (Pinelands)**
The successful incumbent will be someone who has a flair for sales and customer services. Enjoys working in a fast pace environment, friendly and supportive to clients and team members.

**Experience**
- Grade 12
- Retail experience would be an advantage

**Skills and Abilities**
- Basic math’s calculations
- Computer Literacy
- Excellent admin and people skills
- Following instructions and procedures
- Someone who will go the extra mile and be proactive
- Strong verbal and written communication skills

**Duties and Responsibilities**

Sales and Customer Service
- Upselling / Cross selling
- Notifying customers of new stock, special offers and promos
- Answering and handling all queries in a professional manner
- Build customer relationships and manage client expectations
- Excellent communication skills with clients and H/O
- Communicate special request to H/O

Administration Skills
- Filing of daily reports, credit cards and proof of deliveries
- End of day procedures are followed
- Accurate capturing of information
- Collecting payment or PO’s for items sold
- Checking and notifying H/O of PO’s received in order to prevent duplications

Cash Management
- Daily cash up and reconciliation of variances
- Ability to investigate variances
- Accuracy when entering sales on credit and cash register

Stock Management
- Managing stock - placing order, maintain stock levels and maintaining stock room
- Understanding product knowledge

Housekeeping and Hygiene
- Monitor hygiene in store
- Ensure stores are cleaned daily and organized

Merchandise
- Present visual display in store
- Stock shelves and merchandising
- Ensure shop is always neat and tidy
