**Position Title: Hotel IT Technician [Sandton]**

**Job Summary**:
We are seeking a Hotel IT Technician to join our team In this role, you’ll be responsible for providing 1st and 2nd level IT support to both Hotel employees and guests. As the point person for all service calls, you’ll take ownership of IT issues and ensure prompt and effective resolution. Additionally, you’ll play an important role in escalating 3rd level support issues for timely resolution. Overall, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring that the Hotel’s IT systems run smoothly and that guests receive prompt and effective support.
- Wired and wireless networks
- Fiber and network data cabling
- Audio-visual / Video conferencing
- IPTV / Video streaming
- Digital signage / Video walls
- Access control and CCTV surveillance
- PBX / Telephone systems
- Hardware and software installation, configuration, and support (for desktops and servers)
- Printer installation and support
- General troubleshooting
- Project management
- Customer service

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Attend to all service calls logged by the Hotel employees or guests while on shift
- Respond to general IT requests in a timely manner
- Provide 1st and 2nd level IT support to Hotel employees and guest
- Escalate IT issues that require 3rd level support to vendors for assistance and resolution
- Repair or replace damaged or faulty equipment and components
- Mentor and train end users
- Understand client technical needs; design, and implement solutions
- Record events, problems, and their solutions
- Maintain and ensure optimal running of systems in a business setting by performing necessary and proactive IT system checks

**Requirements**:

- Must reside in or within reasonable travelling distance from Sandton, and have their own, reliable vehicle
- Previous experience in a face-to-face IT support role is required
- Proof of relevant certifications / tertiary qualifications (e.g. A+, N+, MCSE, Security +, Cloud+) required
- Ability to troubleshooting and problem-solve complex software and hardware issues
- Good interpersonal and communication skills to interact with colleagues and end users from various departments and executive levels.
- Good technical documentation skills and attention to detail
- Commitment to learning new things and growing new skill sets
