The role will report into the **Distribution Manager** and will be based in **Benoni**.
This position exists to monitor and evaluate the entire Despatch and Receiving operation in an operating unit to ensure that goods are accurately Despatched and Received. Monitor the relevant security procedures followed when despatching and receiving of goods, so as to assist in controlling wastage, shrinkage and overall stock control. Lead and support of the Despatch and Receiving teams maintaining discipline and a high performance team culture within the distribution team as a whole reporting into the Distribution Manager.
**Duties & Responsibilities**:
**Despatch/ Receiving Co-ordination**:
Planned loading of final goods; incl. second rounds & contingencies.
Received goods are reconciled & stored.
Controlled loading & despatch of final goods.
Optimised stock management of final goods.
Managed equipment, including crates, pallets, scales, & forklifts.
**People Growth and Leadership**:
Achieve functional and project objectives.
Assess and implement continuous improvement in work methods in order to streamline operations.
Manage performance of own team.
Manage talent plan of own team.
**Systems, Procedures and Practices**:
Achieve planned budget and scheduled projects.
Maintain functional policy and legal framework.
Implement functional best practices.
Utilise and maintain stock management System functionality across unit and depots (Reconciliation, Issuing and Receiving).
Report functional and operational information timeously.
Utilize functional resources optimally.
**Relationships**:
Build and Maintain internal and external stakeholder relations.
Satisfy 'customers' both internal and external.
Utilize service provider and support networks to achieve KPI’s.
**Minimum Requirements**:
Must have a Grade 12 with a Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management.
Must have 2-3 years’ experience in FMCG warehouse or bakeries/factory.
Valid driver’s license.
Must have 2 years supervisory experience.
Knowledge of recent laws and regulations.
Must have SAP experience.
Must know organisational/business unit processes.
