Robot Setter

**Qualifications**:
Matric (essential)

Driver’s license (beneficial)

Computer literacy: MS Office (essential)

**Experience**:
3 or more years of related technical, hands-on experience in manual and/or automated welding processes (essential)

2 or more years practical experience in the role of a Robot Programmer on Yaskawa/Motoman/Fanuc/ABB (essential)

Knowledge on SKS welding systems. (beneficial)

Working knowledge MIG welding processes.

Knowledge in robotic welding.

Able to work shifts on rotation basis

Ability to prioritise responsibilities in a fast-paced work environment

**Duties**:
Programming of welding robots.

Increase program efficiency if needed.

Ensure that robots are running at optimal capacity.

Follow production schedules to ensure programming is done for certain parts.

Run the program and check and monitor torches and readjust as needed.

Moves machine controls and guides to adjust machine in a safe manner.

Troubleshoot part fit-up problems.

Ensure that all robots and robot equipment is maintained in good order and documented.

Ensure that health, safety and housekeeping standards are met throughout robotics department and where work is carried out.

Work in accordance with quality standards to ensure correct welding of components.

Provide support in the analysis and resolution of weld equipment failures.
