Demand Planner

**Purpose of the role**:
The demand planner plays an essential role within our Clients supply chain. An accurate future demand needs to be created with the use of the company’s analytical, marketing and sales data. Collaboration with key stakeholders is required to develop the most accurate future demand for promotional and new product items, to assist with the sourcing of raw materials, production planning and effective distribution to satisfy customer demand.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Related tertiary
- Experience with Syspro system would be
- Minimum of 3 years’ demonstrated experience in demand planning role or similar
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

(Please note that the successful incumbent might be required to travel on an ad hoc basis.)

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop an accurate short and long-term volume
- Evaluate historical trends to model future
- Obtain information on occurrences like promotional activity, new product launches,
- Track Promotional and new product

**Job Summary (not limited to)**
- Provide a rolling weekly short-term forecast = 8 weeks
- Submit monthly, a long-term forecast = 18 months identifying the gaps from the precious forecast version and business targets
- Supply monthly forecast data to support principal accounts, planning and procurement
- Align forecast data with business service providers (Vector)
- Measure and evaluate the forecast accuracy on a weekly/monthly basis against the targeted
- Analyse trends using analytical, marketing and sales data to improve the accuracy of the future
- Assist the key stakeholders by performing regular meetings to gain their inputs and forecast sign
- Submit reports weekly/monthly providing feedback and recommendations for improvement (reports to include):

- Forecast accuracy
- Compile and present reports for the monthly S & OP meeting
- New product and promotional performance
- Imports / principle brands forecast performance
- Assist with importing and verification of monthly stock takes
