Reporting to the Financial Manager, we are seeking a dynamic, energetic, proactive, and highly detailed, organized Project Analyst to support the Financial Manager and EXCO Team in achieving their strategic and operational goals.
**Purpose of the Role**
As a Project Analyst, you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between business needs and technological solutions. You will work closely with different departments to understand requirements, analyze processes, and recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency. The role will further drive data, process, and systems analysis to provide insights to make profitable decisions.
**Duties and responsibilities**:
**Understanding Business Objectives**
Collaborate with operational and service departments across the organisation to investigate and understand the business processes, needs, challenges, and requirements by using a variety of methods and techniques to identify areas for improvement and optimisation.
Analyse existing business processes & technology and propose new solutions and changes based on business and client requirements.
Take ownership of the solution roadmap, driving its evolution and alignment with client needs.
Ensure timely and accurate workflows of information between all stakeholders are developed and communicated.
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and alignment with project goals
**Data Analysis**
Working with large volumes and data from multiple sources and leveraging data and business expertise to analyse key business trends and performance drivers to provide new insights and influence business strategy.
Define configuration specifications and business analysis requirements for the business and departments.
Define reporting and alerting requirements for the various business portfolios.
Manage and implement automation of standard reporting for operations management.
**Data Management and Management Reporting**
Develop, manage, and maintain databases for consistency and ease of access which incorporate data from all departments.
Address all data exceptions or shortcomings with relevant stakeholders and recommend improvements to always ensure data completeness.
Complete data testing as part of data migration and new system implementation projects to ensure that the integrity of the data is maintained, and all reports are reliable and accurate.
Implement tools and standards to improve the productivity and quality of output of data.
Assisting in the development and/or improvement of reporting tools or systems for all lines of business.
Coordinate and communicate the planning and reporting processes - setting timelines for deliverables and steps of
the process, ensuring timely delivery of quality-assured management reports in specified reporting templates.
**Data Quality Assurance**
Establish and communicate data quality standards with stakeholders aligned with best practice trends.
Implement control systems in accordance with policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
Create clear and concise documentation, including business process flows, use cases, and functional specifications.
Construct programs including coding, testing, and debugging.
Preparing business cases and conducting risk assessments
**Qualifications and Experience**:

A bachelor’s degree and/or B-Tech in Information Technology and/or Business Analysis Certificate
**Experience**:
3+ years as a Business Analyst or similar role
Experience preferably within an agricultural environment
Packhouse experience is an advantage.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (Advancedi functions)
Report writing in Power BI or similar data analytic tools.
Experience in analysing large data sets
Financial reporting knowledge (preferable, not essential)
Experience in process mapping and business case development
Relational database experience (PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, etc) preferred.
**Other knowledge and skills required**:
Strong analytical skills with the ability to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, with the ability to interrogate them.
Exception
