Debtors Clerk

**Main Responsibilities**:
To ensure that debtors are invoiced and payments are received timeously.

**Key Performance areas Debtors invoicing - ensure that**:

- Orders are obtained and forwarded in accordance with Company policies.
- Printing of delivery notes when materials are delivered.
- invoices are generated immediately upon delivery and sent to clients.
- invoices are correctly uploaded in system and credit notes issued whereapplicable.

**Prepared documentation for approval new client accounts - ensure that**:

- Applicable documents from new clients are requested, received and verified.
- Documents are prepared for approval by management.

**Reconciled accounts - ensure that**:

- Reconciliations are completed within set time frame on a monthly basis.
- Deviations are identified and journals are compiled to rectify.

**Controlled debtors - ensure that**:

- Payments received are monitored on a daily basis.
- Credit note documents are prepared for approval where applicable
- Monthly age analysis of debtors is submitted to management.
- Follow up on all debtors outstanding for longer than 40 days.
- All debtors outstanding for longer than 60 days are reported tomanagement.

**Reconciled accounts - ensure that**:

- Reconciliations are completed within set time frame on a monthly basis.
- Deviations are identified and journals compiled to rectify.

**Maintained financial records - ensure that**:

- Documentation is accompanied by relevant supporting documents.
- Documentation is archived and easily retrievable for all users.

**Requirements**:

- A three year Accounting qualification or equivalent.
- At least 3 years relevant work experience.
- Negotiation and communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Results driven individual.

**Salary**: R18,000.00 - R20,000.00 per month
