Durban, South Africa Marshall Security Full time

DUTIES:
Represent the Company and its image, ethos and vision to the best of their ability.

Install, program, and configure alarm systems, CCTV cameras, access control systems, electric fencing, and gate automation according to client specifications and industry standards.

Ensure proper wiring, connectivity, and integration of security system components.

Test and troubleshoot installed systems to ensure optimal performance.

Perform routine maintenance checks on security systems, including cleaning, calibration, and system updates.

Identify and resolve technical issues and malfunctions through diagnostic procedures.

Conduct repairs and component replacements to restore system functionality promptly.

Provide recommendations for system upgrades and improvements based on industry advancements and client requirements.

Interact with clients to understand their security needs and provide expert advice on system selection and installation options.

Assist clients with system demonstrations, user training, and troubleshooting.

Respond to client inquiries, resolve issues, and provide technical support either remotely or on-site.

Maintain accurate records of system installations, repairs, and maintenance activities.

Generate comprehensive reports on system performance, malfunctions, and service calls.

Update technical manuals and documentation for reference purposes.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Minimum of 2 years’ experience, preferably within the security industry

Proven experience in installing and repairing alarm systems, CCTV, access control systems, electric fencing, and gate automation.

Strong understanding of electronic and low-voltage wiring principles.

Proficient in using hand and power tools necessary for system installation and repair.

Excellent troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve technical issues efficiently.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Exceptional customer service and communication skills to interact effectively with clients.

Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities for accurate documentation and reporting.

KNOWLEDGE & CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Valid PSIRA Registration and Grading

Valid Driver’s Licence and ability to travel to various client locations as required

SAIDSA Certification (Advantageous)

High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or relevant training in security systems installation and repair is preferred.

Familiarity with relevant software and programming languages used in security system configuration.
