**_ Position Purpose:_**

To identify and analyse risks within the Supply chain enviroment and provide mitigating actions.

**_ Position outputs:_**

1.Identify, analyse and implement controls for procurement risks in the Division.

Identifying, analysing risks relevant to Supply Chain Management and determining response strategies, and monitoring

progress; and

Support training initiatives for Compliance and Risk Management.

Monitor and support execution of the risk register and ensure that all risks are mitigated and under control.

Report on the overall performance of the supply chain management risks through monthly presentations on Riskco and

Internal Control Steering Committees.

2. Conduct self-assessment audits across the Division to monitor the procure to pay process

Track and trace payments to ensure invoice corresponds to amounts in purchase orders/contract, payment certificate/

delivery note

Monitor and track that repetitive purchases have legally awarded contracts;
Initiate procurement events to put contracts in place where there are no contracts in place.

3.Implement controls to combat fraud and corruption

Ensure usage of contracts by putting systems in place to monitor out of contract usage.

Log supply chain risks and create awareness across the division to relevant functions

Provide all necessary information to corporate governance and TIA required for audit and forensic activities

4.Prevent, Mitigate and Reduce risk of non-compliance to procurement policies and procedures

Identify and monitor procurement related business critical activities across the Division

Analyse audit findings for supply chain risks and draft an SCM risk register

Implementation of tasks identified in the Improvement Plan

Track implementation of mitigating actions across the Division and draft reports

Manage monthly reports on procurement risks for the Division including the Control and Governance Centre of Excellence

Conduct training on Compliance and Risk Management

**_ Qualifications & Experience:_**

Qualifications & Experience:
A relevant Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or commercial is required
At least a minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in the supply management function or risk management.

**_ Competencies:_**

Knowledge:
Detailed knowledge of the PPM;
In depth knowledge of Transnet Group Compliance Framework;
Working knowledge of the regulatory universe;
Awareness of the Transnet Enterprise risk Management Policy and The Enterprise Risk management Strategy &
framework description;
Communication, presentation, report writing, organization and negotiation skills for management of processes and projects;
and
Relevant experience in Supply Management Processes.
