**We are seeking an Assistant Audit Manager for a permanent role based in East London, Eastern Cape.**

**Applicants are required to meet the following criteria**:

- Grade 12 with SAICA accredited undergraduate degree and completed SAICA articles
- 1+ years post-article experience in commercial audits
- Strong MS Office proficiency required and CaseWare experience preferred
- Valid drivers license and excellent communication skills

**The successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to**:

- Manage a diverse portfolio of clients, overseeing both tax and audit aspects
- Take charge of all phases of audit engagements, from planning to execution and reporting
- Skillfully allocate resources and plan staff assignments
- Comprehensive reviews of audit files, tax returns and management reports
- Produce meticulous documents, reports, and engagement files
- Skillfully prepare annual financial statements in alignment with IFRS for SME’s
- Daily supervision, guidance and leadership of audit staff and teams
- Develop/coach and mentor junior audit staff
- Client relationship management
- Prepare management reports that highlight findings and recommendations
- Regularly update progress reports
- Prepare / monitor audit budget
- Assess trainees using the SAICA EAT system
