RCL Foods is currently looking for a **Maintenance Planner** to join our **Baking Business Unit**. The role will be based in **Polokwane**.

The purpose of the role is to establish, maintain, improve and manage the daily, weekly, monthly, bi-annual and annual maintenance plans and continuous preventive maintenance activities and facilitating shutdown planning and estimating the duration of various shutdowns to optimize the performances of all available resources and equipment.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:
**Administrative**
Manage maintenance planning activities according to professional planning standards
Ensure that best practices in planning are applied to improve the efficiency of maintenance
Implement and maintain a proper maintenance strategy and philosophy
Initiate and manage preventative maintenance of all sections
Develop time estimates of planned maintenance work
Ensure that good store management practices are applied to retain the full reliability of stored parts and equipment
Implement planning boards
Ensure that all necessary documentation to perform the maintenance work are available
Continually reviewing planning, scheduling, data management and job reporting systems to improve planning effectiveness and efficiency
Write applicable maintenance procedures that promote defect-free maintenance work quality
Schedule maintenance work into the production plan
Ensure that Key Performance Indicators are captured and reported for equipment reliability, maintenance department performances and planning and scheduling business flow processes
Responsible for the accurate upkeep of equipment maintenance history and work order record database
Responsible for the accurate upkeep of technical information on the plant and equipment
Conduct root cause failure analysis investigations

**Reports**
Compile daily short interval control board report graphs
Compile weekly report graphs
Compile monthly report graphs
Attend daily and weekly report meetings

Working with customers
Take ownership and accountability for tasks and activities and demonstrate effective self-management in terms of planning, scheduling and prioritising
Follow through to ensure that quality and productivity standards of work are consistently and accurately maintained and captured
Collaborate with maintenance supervision to schedule manpower and resources for the most effective production and maintenance outcome
Demonstrate willingness to help others and “go the extra mile” to meet team targets and objectives
Maintain a basic appreciation and awareness of employee relations climate and ensure corrective action is taken where required in line with relevant legislation and company policy

**Safety / Housekeeping**
Practice and enforce Foodcorp codes of Safety and housekeeping
Ensure that all relevant Procedure Documents are captured into the Computer Maintenance Management System
Report on outstanding Food Safety related work orders during internal Food Safety Surveys

**Training**
Champion training and development of self and other users of the Computer Maintenance Management System through utilising available training opportunities

**New Projects**
Develop a Asset Tree Structure for new equipment and plants in the Computer Maintenance Management System
Write effective maintenance tasks for new equipment
Implement maintenance schedules on new equipment

**New Technologies / Products**
Ensure that the Computer Maintenance Management System is upgraded on a regular basis

**Minimum Requirements**:
Grade 12 / N3 Qualification
Engineering diploma (preferable)
Trade Test Qualified/Studying towards (Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation / Boilermaking etc.)
2-3 years’ experience in the Bakery Industry within the Engineering Team
At least 1-2 years’ experience in (CMMS) Computer Maintenance Management Systems
Valid drivers’ licence
