Fitter

We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified Fitter to fabricate, fit and assemble the structural components of various mechanical systems especially pumps. We are looking for a fit individual with excellent analytical problem-solving skills.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Constructing structural components from raw materials
- Using welding equipment to manual structural components
- Inspecting fabricated components to ensure that they are correct
- Utilising shears, power saws, cutting torches to cut structural components
- Creating suitable maintenance schedules and performing system maintenance accordingly
- Conducting diagnostic testing on malfunctioning systems to determine the root cause of the malfunction.
- Replacing damaged or defective structural components as needed
- Adhering to all work-site safety rules and regulations

Desired Experience and Qualification
- Matric or certificate equivalent to Grade 12.
- N3 Qualified Fitter (Red Seal) Certificate
- Excellent communication, time management and organization skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- The ability to concentrate for extended periods
- Expertise in interpreting drawing for mechanical systems
- Expertise to use hand and power tools
- Any experience on Industrial generator and seamer will be advantage
- Proven Experience working as a qualified Fitter
- Exceptional welding and mechanical skills

License/Certification:

- Red seal N3 Trade Certificate (preferred)

- Hermanus, Western Cape: Relocate before starting work (preferred)
