**Purpose of the Job**:
The main purpose of the Online Merchandiser is to assist the marketing and buying team with the Transpharm e-commerce offering, which includes sales, the selection of the online product range, and the merchandising and promotion of this business unit. Conduct product data analysis, competitor and market research, and recommend merchandising solutions to meet customer experience and campaign objectives, as well as implementing said solutions (daily, weekly and monthly).

**Job Objectives**:
**Reporting**
- Report on predefined KPIs against which the online site will be measured.

**Promotions**
- Collaborate closely with the buying and marketing teams to create promotions that maximize sales.

**Product range maintenance**
- Responsible for collaborating closely with the marketing and buying teams to select the product range that best promotes the offer and maximizes sales.
- Responsible for the effective digital merchandising of the product range:

- overall design and aesthetic of the website
- effective search and discoverability
- implementation of site merchandising (daily, weekly, monthly)
- product page optimisation
- promotions strategy in line with objectives of the Business Unit
- manage creative assets in an easily accessible archive
- set up and manage merchandising assets
- support the execution of the marketing strategies on the site

**Product Catalogues**
- Make sure the digital channels are content-rich and allow customers to quickly find products in the catalog.
- Assist with the product catalog and collaborate with the product coordination teams to make sure the catalog's integrity is maintained at all times.

**Qualifications**:
**Essential**
- Matric
- NQ Level 6 diploma

**Desirable**
- Digital courses

**Experience**:
**Essential**
- +2 years experience in CMS and Ecommerce
- +2 years eperience working with Product Merchandising tools and teams
- +2 years experience in retail buying

**Knowledge and Skills**:

- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- A track record of analytical thinking and problem solving
- A flair for sales, merchandising and customer experience
- Flexibility to manage a business that can operate 24/7/365
- A desire to continually learn, improve and go the extra mile
- An attitude of accountability and excellence
