**Job Advert: Manitou (Telehandler) Operator**

**Location**: Underground Manganese Mine, South Africa

**Position Overview**: We are looking for a skilled Manitou Operator to join our team at our underground manganese mine in South Africa. The Manitou Operator will be responsible for transporting materials within the mine safely.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Operate a Manitou machine to transport materials within the underground mine.
- Conduct pre-operational equipment checks and routine maintenance.
- Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with the mine's logistics team to optimize material transportation.
- Maintain accurate records of Manitou activities and report any safety concerns or equipment issues.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure efficient operations.

**Qualifications Required**:

- Matriculated or Equivalent
- Manitou (MT742) Certificate
- At least 2 years’ experience as a Manitou Operator
- Dover A result
- Operator’s license
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in underground mining.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
- Physical fitness and the ability to work in confined spaces and challenging underground conditions.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

**Salary**: R12,000.00 per month

**Education**:

- High School (matric) (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Manitou operating: 2 years (required)

License/Certification:

- Manitou (MT742) Certificate (required)
- Dover A result (required)

Ability to Commute:

- Centurion, Gauteng (preferred)

Ability to Relocate:

- Centurion, Gauteng: Relocate before starting work (required)
