An established restaurant situated in Parktown Johannesburg is seeking an experienced griller to join its team in the BOH to grill burgers, steaks and meat.
**Benefits**: Overtime (Salary with overtime would be approximately R6’500.00)
Grade 12 Minimum
**Working Hours**: 180 hours per week (overtime capped at 40 hours extra). Includes weekends
**Experience**: Atleast 2-3 years’ meat grilling experience required
**Reporting Line**: Kitchen Manager
Meat griller experience is _**ESSENTIAL**_
**Qualities**: Ability to work under pressure and with diligence. Must be a clean and presentable individual.
**Demographic**: No preference. Must be able bodied and presentable.
**GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Braise and grill meat and vegetables with a high degree of skill.
- Assist in maintaining inventory by tracking, labelling, and replacing key ingredients.
- Prepare meat and vegetables by slicing, cutting, shredding, and tenderizing them as needed
- Communicate with the kitchen manager and waiter staff to ensure the timely delivery of all meals.
- Follow all relevant food health and safety guidelines.
- Maintain a workstation that is both clean and sanitary.
- Maintaining high quality and hygiene standards as per restaurant standards
- Manage all preparation and presentation of food.
- Ensuring correct portion control are adhered to.
- Ensuring the food is delivered timeously and without delay.
- Flexible to work overtime when required.
**Salary**: R4,500.00 - R5,300.00 per month
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Parktown, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
**Experience**:
- Meat grilling: 2 years (required)
