- Study recipes and presentation guide and gather all necessary ingredients
- Exercise effective stock, portion and cost control
- Prepare orders in an effective timely manner
- Delegate tasks to kitchen staff
- Inform wait staff about daily specials
- Ensure appealing plate presentation.
- Monitor food stock and place orders
- Check freshness of food, discard out-of-date items and practice effective FIFO
- Comply with food safety standards, and quality control requirements.
- Experiment with recipes and suggest new ingredients.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area.
- Comply with the company policies and procedures.
- Comply with the company’s Code of Conduct
- Keep working environment clean, healthy and tidy.
