**Job Advert Summary**:
The role is that of a Departmental Head also known as a business unit leader in the comapny is available within the People Operations (Shared Services). The primary purpose of the role is to lead and optimise people shared services, ensuring efficient and cost-effective people operations, and fostering strong relationships with internal stakeholders. The goal is to centralize and standardize services to achieve cost savings, process efficiencies, and improved employee satisfaction. By optimizing people operations, promoting efficiency, and enhancing the employee experience, they contribute to the overall success of the organisation.

This role forms part of the strategic leadership of the People Portfolio reporting into the Chief People officer and leading a team of People professionals.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- This position requires a minimum qualification of Masters level qualification in Human Resources Management or Business Management or equivalent.
- Minimum** 10 years’ experience in Human Resources Management** of which a minimum of **5 years** should have been in a senior management role with exposure to managing shared services and other functions of the HR value chain
- Experience working within the Financial Services or Professional Services sector would be advantageous

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
Strategic Function
- As may be required, design and or review the Shared Services operating model and value chain to align with the People strategy.
- Inputs and contributes to the development of the People Strategy, and the operational alignment and implementation thereof, to help achieve long-term objectives.
- Based on sound understanding of the comapny’s business goals, business and operating models and core processes (business acumen), influences and aligns the People strategy into clear business unit people objectives and action plans to support the achievement of the overall organisation objectives.

Product and Operational Management
- Oversees and manages the strategic day-to-day People operations, including payroll, benefits administration, employee data management, employment relations management, People Information Systems, and talent management and recruitment.
- Collaborates with People leadership to evaluate opportunities for expanding the scope of People shared services to address evolving People needs and support the organisation's growth.
- Ensures that People Shared Services are compliant with employment laws and regulations.
- Identifies and mitigates potential risks associated with Shared Service delivery.
- Identifies opportunities for process improvement, streamline workflows, and eliminate redundancies to enhance service quality and reduce operational costs.
- Service Quality Assurance
- Develops and implements quality assurance processes to maintain consistent, high-quality Shared Services that support strategic goals and meet service level agreements (SLAs)
- Analyses efficiencies and evaluates against overall Shared Services strategy.
- Identifies opportunities for process improvement, streamline workflows, and eliminate redundancies to enhance service quality and reduce operational costs.
- Identifies opportunities to centralize, standardize, and streamline shared services to maximize efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Implements best practices, process improvements, and automation to enhance service quality.
- Defines and tracks key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of People shared services.
- Develops and reports on performance dashboards to assess service quality and efficiency rates.
- From a specialist perspective (Management of senior specialists) the incumbent is expected to facilitate the design and development of strategies, service delivery models, and performance metrics of the following People streams:
