An NPO is seeking a Pharmacist Manager to provide support and help strengthen pharmaceutical services in the program.

The Pharmacist Manager plays a pivotal role in bolstering the effectiveness and reach of pharmaceutical services. As a beacon of pharmaceutical expertise and leadership, you will work closely with the Department of Health and other entities to ensure that pharmaceutical services are not just delivered but optimised for greater impact.

**Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to**:

- Provide direction, support, and supervision to Pharmacy Assistants, ensuring they are well-trained, and their work aligns with organisational goals.
- Lead the strengthening of pharmacovigilance plans, ensuring robust infrastructure in collaboration with the Department of Health.
- Boost the efficiency of adverse event reporting both inpatient clinical stationery and on data management systems, while also refining the adverse drug reporting process.
- Regularly conduct clinical audits and pharmacy assessments, creating and implementing Quality Improvement Plans tailored to each finding.
- Assist in crafting and revising policy guidelines for medicine supply management at the provincial level.
- Contribute to the development or updating of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure streamlined operations.
- Ensure consistent pharmacovigilance discussions at pivotal forums, deliver regular reports of program activities, and keep a close watch on compliance with the Pharmaceutical Services Dashboard.
- Produce detailed monthly, quarterly, and annual reports outlining the performance, challenges, and solutions implemented within the pharmaceutical department.
- Monitor TB drug stock levels across facilities, ensuring steady supplies and timely reorders.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with relevant provincial partners, liaising regularly with Provincial Medicines Liaison Officers and other stakeholders to synchronise program coordination, implementation, and reporting.
- This includes facilitating ongoing training sessions to update facilities with the latest pharmaceutical knowledge and protocol training.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor of Pharmacy, registered with the SAPC (South African Pharmacy Council).
- Preferably with a Masters in Public Health and knowledge of Rx Solutions and SVS.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in either the Department of Health or NGO sector, with knowledge of South African health and pharmaceutical services, Good Pharmacy Practice, and legislative compliance.
- Desirable experience includes public sector exposure, preferably within the HIV and TB field, and expertise in Drug Resistant TB Management.
- Proven ability to multitask and manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively liaise with various stakeholders.
- Demonstrable experience in health systems strengthening and project management.
- Advanced proficiency in software tools used in pharmaceutical management, especially data analysis tools.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temporary

**Salary**: R1.00 - R2.00 per month
