Yard Supervisor

We are in need of a well versed Yard Supervisor who will be responsible for overseeing the activities and staff, which is a designated area where all goods, equipment, vehicles and products are stored and being transferred.

Responsibility:

- Ensure that all loads are accurate as per invoices before dispatch and upon receipt
- Inspect vehicles and loads before and after trips
- Assisting the Operations Manager where needed
- Administer all work yard operations and ensure compliance to safety policies
- Maintain neat and clean yard at all times
- Maintain opyimal level of customer services and assist to resolve all customer issues
- Supervise all customer and company staff in all yard operations
- Hire and train staff to develop and achieve all work objectives and evaluate performances on a regular basis
- Coordinate with Operations Manager and receieve all products and prepare necessary paperwork
- Monitor inventory of yard supplies and place purchase orders as necessary
- Monitor loading of materials to ensure safe transfer to other stores
- Monitor work of employees and initiate disciplinary actions as required

**Requirements**:

- Must have previous supervisor experience
- Must have experience with in the same or similar industry
- Must have good knowledge of tyres and tyre related products
- Must have strong attention to detail
- Must reside in or near Blackheath, Cape Town
- Must understand Afrikaans
