**Position Title**: Export Trader

**Position Purpose**: To effectively & efficiently manage the administration & operations of the export of charcoal supplies ; its packaging and to report on its affairs.

**Key Performance Areas**: To identify and grow our charcoal business in existing and new regions
Managing and maintaining effective relationships with international clients as well as current and new suppliers
Timeously communicating pricing and information to customers and suppliers, To revise pricing regularly due to changes In costs structure' Create adequate excel spreadsheet for fast reaction times when receiving enquiries to submit quote promptly
Monitor stock level of charcoal and bags as well as payment to relevant suppliers
Ensure we adhere to proposed shipping schedules and offer alternative solutions if delays
Make travel booking and manage the travelling plan when required
Visit suppliers regularly to ensure smooth running of contract and do quality control of our shipments according to client’s requirement
Create a charcoal data base with suppliers and potential clients and look regularly for potential suppliers and clients
Develop packaging when necessary
Keeping shipping schedule and order schedule for timeous
- container booking and relevant delivery to help cash flow

**Administration**: Invoices, packing lists, purchase orders and sales orders, quality controls, Supplier account management, arrange self heating tests with scrooby labs, supplier bag recon. Forecasting of required bags needed for suppliers so that orders can be made at cost effective quantities and volumes.

**Co-ordination**: Co-ordinate with suppliers for deliveries of goods, plan loadings with the warehouse and shipping department. Arrange for Marine surveyor to provide vanning’s for charcoal shipments. Arrange with independent company (Emil Jung) to provide inspections on the suppliers monthly. Manage shipping forecast for large overseas clients according to their requirements of delivery. Check drafts of shipping documents and make sure all details are correct before sending them to the clients.

**Relationships**: Maintain good relationships with Shipping lines (MSC, MAERSK, CMA) in both South Africa and Namibia. Maintain good relationship with Suppliers of charcoal, negotiate pricing and delivery costs. Maintain good relationships with Transporters from Namibia to South Africa. Keep good relationships with customers and ensure transparent flow of information and status of orders. Maintain seamless cooperation between yourself, the shipping department and the warehouse staff.

Preferred Selection Criteria Education
Degree, Diploma, Post Matric courses &/or experience in one or more of the following disciplines

Administration, Finance and General Business Management. Must be computer literate and be able to use excel or similar,
Experience
- Demonstrable experience of not less than five years
- Good organizational sk1115, business planning, costing preparation, presentation, computer literacy, Board & staff management, administration, goal setting, team building» communication (verbal and written), time management, contract & consultant management, general people management.
- Mature, self-starter, motivated, motivational, assertive, approachable, willing, personable, patient, even tempered, thorough & professional.
