Bakery and Deli Manager

Our client is looking to hire an experienced Bakery and Deli Manager to supervise the baking and deli staff and manage all bakery and deli operations. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate financial records, conducting interviews, hiring suitable staff, and ensuring that orders for specialty cakes are completed on time. You should also be able to discard stale or spoiled food items and markdown goods nearing their expiration dates.

To be successful, you should demonstrate excellent management and problem-solving skills. Ultimately, an outstanding Manager should be able to achieve exceptional customer service and enforce staff compliance with food health and safety regulations.
- Ensuring that the bakery and deli is adequately stocked with quality ingredients and supplies.
- Ensuring that baking/cooking tools, utensils, and equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized.
- Developing and implementing advertising and marketing strategies to attract new customers.
- Creating suitable work schedules for staff members.
- Appraising staff performance and carrying out the necessary disciplinary measures to address poor performance.
- Training staff to produce high-quality bakery and food items while following proper food handling procedures.
- Strategically arranging food items in display cases to encourage customer purchases.
- Inspecting bakery and deli items to ensure that established standards on quality, uniformity, and aesthetic appeal are met.
- Resolving customer complaints in a professional manner.

**Requirements**:

- Matric
- 5-7 Years Experience working as a Bakery and/or Deli Management
- Computer Literacy essential
- Excellent customer service skills
- Previous experience managing a team
- Point of Sale Systems knowledge.

**Salary**: R15 000,00 - R17 000,00 per month
