Fleet Controller

We urgently seek to employ an experienced Fleet Controller to manage the daily operation of coordinating vehicles. You will be required to organize timetables, and schedules, and ensure vehicles are ready when required. Fleet Controllers organize a team of drivers and ensure vehicles are properly serviced and maintained.

**Duties and responsibilities**:

- Tracking of vehicle location by GPS/tracking system
- Tracking of vehicles/drivers
- Monitor vehicle driver performance
- Monitor and control drivers' daily activities
- Monitor the progress of trips and utilization of the fleet
- Monitor multiple sites/projects
- Handling client and driver queries and answering calls
- Capture and report breakdowns, incidents, or queries fleet
- Handling Roadside assistance
- Co-ordinating and responding to emergencies
- Be vigilant to further safety and security threats on shift and during an ongoing incident
- Report the incident location and persons to the communication operators or directly to the supervisor
- Liaising with drivers, operations personnel, and management
- Developing and presenting daily management reports
- Daily vehicle inspection and reports
- Monitor vehicle assets, permits, and key control

**Key skills & Experience**:

- Knowledge of Microsoft products is essential and tracking systems
- Planning and Organizational skills with experience in time management
- Prioritizing A “can do” and flexible attitude
- Flexible with time (willing to work overtime, public holidays, and weekends)
- Strong understanding of maps and giving accurate directions
- Strong understanding of maps and grouping in areas
- The ability to juggle multiple projects while meeting deadlines
- Maintain strict confidentiality
- The ability to work under pressure
- Proactive and able to take initiative
- Solid knowledge of office procedures
- Strong organization skills with a problem-solving attitude
- The ability to work alone and in a team
- Attention to detail

**Requirements**:

- Previous fleet tracking control room experience of 2+ years is essential
- Excellent communication skills
- Registered with The Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSIRA) would be an advantage
- Maintain good personal hygiene
- Efficient in English and Afrikaans
- Must reside in surrounding areas such as Goodwood, Ruyterwacht, Parow, Elsies, etc.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: R7 500.00 Cost to Company per month. A possible salary increase after successful probation can be discussed based on performance.
