**VACANCY**:FOREMAN ELECTRICAL, INSTRUMENTATION AND MECHANICAL**

**GRADE**:C-UPPER**

**DIVISION: SERVICE YARD**

**PURPOSE OF THE POSITION**
- The purpose of this position is The Service Yard Foreman is responsible for maintenance of all electrical, instrumentation and Mechanical infrastructure within the Service Yard Business Unit;
- The role holder will form an integral part in designing and managing the implementation of planned maintenance programmes for a specific business unit, in line with optimising Plant OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness);
- The role holder will be responsible for the execution of all maintenance interventions in line with best practices. He/she will be accountable for all electrical, Instrumentation and Mechanical maintenance to ensure maximum plant availability;
- He/she may be required to work rotational stand-by with other foremen, which will cover the Service yard and Refinery business unit.

**MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES**

**PRODUCTION TARGETS AND DELIVERABLES**
- Manage resources for optimal performance;
- Management of maintenance work order process and ensuring that weekly and monthly KPIs are met. Assists in cost reduction initiatives by reducing waste and improving efficiencies especially on electrical consumption and optimisation of equipment.

**PEOPLE MANAGEMENT**
- Self-management by:

- Compilation of own PDP in conjunction with line manager.
- Attend training interventions as per approved PDP.
- Managing others by:

- Conducting six monthly performance reviews of sub-ordinates;
- Compiling PDP for subordinates;
- Ensuring that subordinates attend training interventions as per approved PDP;
- Ensuring discipline is maintained as per company policies.

**OPERATIONAL EFFICIENCIES**
- Maintain earthing and bonding throughout the Refinery Service Yard;
- Statutory compliance;
- Reduce all maintenance costs;
- Improve plant availability;
- Work in conjunction with the Reliability Management team in setting up and reviewing of maintenance plans for all electrical and instrumentation infrastructure;
- Take accountability for the execution of electrical, instrumentation and Mechanical infrastructure in line with set maintenance plans;
- Maintain and analyse the Refinery energy requirement and seek areas of improvement, in conjunction with Production teams, where consumption can be reduced;
- Work in conjunction with the Utilities Manager in preparing the energy budget;
- Calibrate all meters where required to ensure compliance with ISO9001;
- Participate in Risk Assessments based on external and internal influences;
- Participate in incident investigations;
- Participate in any inspection or audit as may be required;
- Execute electrical, instrumentation and Mechanical preventative maintenance systems through the management of Maintenance Performance KPI’s;
- Minimise the leakage of precisions metals via the Service Yard equipment through dedicated continuous improvement programmes.

**SHEQ**
- Comply with and ensures that all health and safety rules are met and acts pro-actively by addressing any safety concerns which may be harmful to self or other employees;
- Manage subordinates and contractors health and safety and ensure no disabling injuries occur;
- Participate in formal SHEQ Audits;
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements.

**QUALITY**
- Manage resource for optimal performance;
- Assists in cost reduction initiatives by reducing waste and improving efficiencies;
- Reducing Electrical and water consumption;
- Improving Rand Refineries green footprint.

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATION**

**SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES**
- Knowledge of SAP system and/ or other CMMS is essential;
- MS Office Package is essential;
- Drive continuous improvement;
- Have an ability to be a team player within the organisation;
- Communicate to relevant people with regards to any asset care related data information;
- Customer centric approve to maintenance;
- Ability to manage employees and contractors.

**KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE**
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role is essential;
- A good understanding of the processes in relating to Asset Care / Maintenance of the plant equipment performance and administration;
- Good knowledge of PLC including troubleshooting on equipment;
- In-depth knowledge of SCADA and Siemens S7 PLC;
- Good electrical and Mechanical Knowledge;
- In-depth knowledge of the permit to work system;
- Ability to set-up, understand and work to a specified budget;
- Ability to perform incident and accident investigations;
- Ability to schedule and conduct plant maintenance;
