**Role Overview**:
**Responsibilities**:

- **Financial Strategy and Planning**:

- Collaborate with the CEO and executive team to develop and implement the company's financial strategy aligned with overall business goals.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making and business development opportunities.
- Oversee long-term financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
- **Financial Operations**:

- Lead and manage the finance team, including accounting, treasury, and financial reporting functions.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Implement and maintain effective financial controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard company assets.
- **Capital Management**:

- Manage capital allocation and investment decisions to optimise returns and support growth initiatives.
- Evaluate and execute financing options, including debt and equity, to fund expansion and capital requirements.
- **Risk Management**:

- Identify and assess financial risks, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
- Monitor and manage key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to proactively address potential challenges.
- **Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A)**:

- Assess potential M&A opportunities, conduct due diligence, and provide financial analysis and recommendations.
- Lead financial integration efforts for successful acquisitions and partnerships.
- **Stakeholder Engagement**:

- Build and maintain strong relationships with investors, lenders, auditors, and other external stakeholders.
- Effectively communicate financial performance and strategies to the board of directors and executive leadership.

**Role Requirements**:

- CA(SA) with a proven managerial track record.
- Proven experience as a CFO/Finance Director or similar role.
- 5 years of senior financial management experience.
- Related industry experience is advantageous but not essential.

- In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and reporting standards to ensure accurate financial statements and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in financial analysis, modelling, and forecasting to support budgeting, resource allocation, and investment decisions.
- Demonstrated ability to manage financial operations, optimise working capital, and effectively control costs while maintaining a focus on value creation.
- **Risk Management and Governance**:

- Expertise in identifying, assessing, and mitigating financial risks that could impact the organisation's financial stability and reputation.
- Proven track record of implementing strong internal controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Ability to balance risk and reward when evaluating strategic initiatives, investments, and business opportunities.
- **Strategic Partnerships and Communication**:

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including the CEO, board of directors, investors, auditors, and regulators.
- Strong negotiation skills to secure favourable terms for financing, partnerships, and M&A transactions.
- Experience in presenting complex financial information in a clear and concise manner to non-financial audiences.
- **Change Management and Adaptability**:

- Proven ability to lead and inspire teams through change, demonstrating resilience and adaptability in a dynamic business environment.
- Experience in driving organisational transformation, process improvements, and technology implementations that enhance financial operations and efficiencies.
