Industrial Electrician

**QUALIFICATIONS**

Minimum Grade 12 or Equivalent Certification (NQF Level 4)

Trade Test / Red Seal

Wireman’s License will be an advantage

**REQUIREMENTS**

Valid unendorsed driver’s license

PLC experience would be advantageous.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

Installation of MCC's, DB Boards, conduits, wiring, lighting, cable racking, laying of cables and earthing systems.

Programming instrumentation, soft starters and variable speed drives

Performing maintenance, completing reports and identifying possible repairs to be carried out.

Fault finding.

Ensuring that preventative maintenance is executed according to schedule.

Reading and understanding electrical drawings.

Must at all times adhere to the relevant electrical codes, procedures & safety policies.

**GENERAL**

Performing ad-hoc duties as and when required by Supervisor/ Management.

**Education**:

- Certificate (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Installation of MCC's, DB Boards,: 8 years (required)
- wiring, lighting, cable racking, laying of cables: 8 years (required)
- earthing systems: 8 years (required)
- Programming instrumentation, soft starters: 8 years (required)
- Fault finding: 8 years (required)
- Reading and understanding electrical drawings: 8 years (required)
- PLC: 8 years (preferred)
- motor control related to industrial pumping installations: 8 years (required)

License/Certification:
