**Job Summary**

A backhoe operator should know how to operate a backhoe in a safe and efficient way. This includes opening and closing the bucket, raising,

and lowering the boom, digging, lifting, and dumping dirt, concrete and asphalt. The work requires considerable skill in manipulating the equipment and constant attention to safety of operation in order to prevent accidents.

Appearance is very important in creating a good impression. It is important you follow the dress code of SEG (Pty) Ltd and to make sure that you stick to it, ideally looking a bit smarter than everyone else as the person leading to protect and build SEG brand and the name of the company.

**Essential Functions**:
The Project Manager are, but not limited to:

- Accurately operate TLB according to the work schedule received and maintain the standard of operation required.
- Always adhere to the health and safety measures and quality standards.
- Ensure that all necessary paperwork and work orders are completed as required
- Complete work orders based on and aligned to the client specific procedures.
- Complete safety checks on machine prior to operation to minimize risk of damage and injury to self.
- Report any and all damages to equipment as soon as possible in compliance with the site reporting procedure.
- Ability to be flexible with last minute schedule changes, location changes, time of shift changes.
- Overtime work required.

**Minimum Qualifications and Skills**:

- Must have at least passed Grade 12.
- Code 14 Driver’s License with public driver’s Permit (PDP).
- Valid TLB license.
- Demolition driving experience is a must.
- Must have at least 5 years' experience as a TLB operator.
- Must be able to read, speak and understand English and any other African language).
- Fit, in good health - willing and able to do manual labour.
- Deadline driven with a strong ability to work within a rapidly changing environment.
- Ability to work under pressure**.**

**NB: Start date: IMMEDIATELY.**

**Salary**: R10.00 - R20.00 per year

License/Certification:

- TLB Operator Certificate (required)
