- Chamber of Mines (COM) Advanced Certificate in Mine Environmental Control
- An Occupational Hygiene or other relevant tertiary qualification
- 5 years practical experience including services in the ventilation and occupational hygiene field at a deep level hard rock mine.
- Member of Mine Ventilation Society of South Africa
- Extensive Knowledge of Occupational Health and Hygiene legislation
