We are looking for skilled and friendly waiters/waitresses to join our team This position plays a big role in creating and providing the best customer experience and satisfaction.

One of your core functions would be to take orders and deliver food and beverages to our customers. We are looking for a punctual person who will have the patience, personality and perseverance to thrive in this role.

Waiter/Waitress responsibilities include greeting and serving customers, providing detailed information on menus, multi-tasking various front-of-the-house duties and collecting the bill. If you are able to perform well in pressured client-facing environments, we’d like to meet you.

You will be required to work weekend shifts, public holidays and some evenings.

**Responsibilities**
- Prepare tables, setup and clean.
- Greet and escort customers to their tables
- Present the menu and provide detailed information when asked (e.g. about portions, ingredients or potential food allergies)
- Take accurate food and drinks orders, using a regular order pad, or by memorization.
- Communicate order details to the Kitchen Staff
- Serve food and drinks.
- Up-sell additional products when appropriate (including art work)
- Ensure bill payments are correct
- Follow all relevant health and safety regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service to guests.

**Requirements and skills**
- Minimum 1 years’ work experience as a waiter
- Hands-on experience with cash register and POS advantageous
- Basic math skills
- Attentiveness, patient and polite
- Punctual
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills, with the ability to perform under pressure
- Active listening and effective communication skills
- Team player
- Extremely high personal hygiene
- Flexibility to work in shifts

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temp to perm

**Salary**: R23.19 - R30.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Stellenbosch, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- High School (matric) (preferred)

**Language**:

- Afrikaans (preferred)
- English (preferred)
