RedCat Recruitment is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced **SOLDER INSPECTOR (LEVEL 2) **for a large international company, position based in **Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal.**
Grade 12.
Valid driver’s license / own reliable vehicle.
Competent computer skills (MS Office /
Person will be required to inspect the quality of soldering of surface mount assembled
boards (could also be involved in inspecting wave soldering or final assembled products).
Reworking of defects.
Competent in identification of defects.
Good soldering skills.
Strong rework skills conforming to quality standards.
Competent with component identification, identifying polarity of parts etc.
Solder inspection of all surface mount assemblies
Use of the AOI repair station PC software.
Basic operation of the AOI (if required) (not including programming).
Rework of surface mount and/or leaded assembly defects.
Replacement/retrofit of parts.
Provide feedback on defects found both written (recorded on standard forms) and verbal.
Assist on other lines if required (sub-assembly, final assembly).
