**JOB SUMMARY**

The appointed Paralegal officer at IconAF is **responsible for,** ensuring **Legal compliance**, **overseeing legal operations, and supporting the Compliance Manager**. This position involves drafting legal documents, managing contracts, SLAs, and handling mitigation processes. Reporting directly to the Compliance Manager, the Paralegal will contribute to maintaining legal standards while fostering operation efficiency. **Responsibilities & Duties**

The responsibility of Paralegal employee are not exhaustive and may change from time to time as decided by Management.

**Legal Compliance and Document**:

- Collaborate with the Compliance Manager to ensure adherence to legal requirements, regulations, and industry standards.
- Draft and review various legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and legal correspondence.
- Maintain organized documentation, ensuring accuracy, legality, and accessibility.
- Assist in creating and managing legal templates for various purposes within the organization.

**Contract Management and SLAs**:

- Manage contracts and agreements with clients, vendors, and partners, ensuring compliance and mitigating legal risks
- Monitor and enforce Service Level Agreement (SLAs), proactively addressing any deviations or issues.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align SLAs with business objectives and legal obligations.

**Mitigation and Risk Management**:

- Assist in identifying potential legal risks and vulnerabilities in business operations.
- Collaborate with the Compliance Manager to develop and implement mitigation strategies to safeguard the company’s interests.
- Support in investigations, legal disputes, and conflict resolution as needed.

**Legal Research and Compliance Audits**:

- Conduct legal research to stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Assist in conducting compliance audits to ensure adherence to legal requirements and internal policies.

**Key Performance Measures**:
1. Timely and accurate drafting and management of legal documents and contracts.

2. Effective management of SLAs, ensuring timely execution and adherence.

3. Contribution to the development and implementation of risk mitigation strategies.

4. Successful collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders.

5. Continuous enhancement of legal compliance practices and documentation.

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Paralegal Studies, Law, or related field.
- Proven experience in contract drafting, legal document management, and compliance.
- Strong understanding of contract law, legal procedures, and industry regulations.
- Excellent communication skill for collaboration and legal correspondence.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision making abilities.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
- Ability to investigate and analyse information and draw conclusions.
- Experience in dealing with Unions, CCMA, Labour Court and the Department of labour.
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong experience in business writing and data reporting.

**Working Hours**: Monday to Friday: You will be required to work from 08:00am - 17:00pm. Plus 2 Saturdays (9am-1pm, if required)
