Fitters. Boilermakers

**Electrician**
- Installation of electrical or electronic equipment to laid down specifications;
- Preventative maintenance as per program;
- Adherence to health and safety rules at all times;
- Installations and maintenance of plant equipment.
- Reactive Maintenance (Line Support)
- Preventive Maintenance (Planned Maintenance)
- Proactive Maintenance (Reliability)
- Fault finding, inspection on electrical equipment and electrical panel maintenance.
- Scheduled preventative maintenance plant equipment and daily checks.
- Attending to breakdowns and working shifts.
- Implement and execute Good Engineering Practices (GEP) in order to support the delivery of the Production Plan and operational efficiency requirements

**Fitter**
- General plant maintenance (pump, gearboxes, bearings).
- Preventative maintenance and fault finding on mechanical equipment.
- Attending to breakdowns and work under pressure.
- Inspecting equipment, structures or materials to identify the cause of errors or other defects.
- Perform activities that require the use of his arms and legs using his whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking and stooping, and the handling of materials.
- Observing, receiving and obtaining information from the relevant sources to complete work piece.
- Monitor and reviewing information from materials to detect or assess problems.
- Identifying information, estimating, recognizing differences or similarities and changes in events to complete work pieces.
- Controlling machines and the various processes.
- Do preventive maintenance on all equipment in factory, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatics.
- Do scheduled checks on machinery and parts.
- Finding and fixing faults, oiling and cleaning machinery and parts.
- Carrying out scheduled overhaul and replacing parts that have reached the end of their working live.

**Boilermaker**
- Repair and maintain all mechanical equipment.
- Handling and moving objects by using hands and arms in handling and installing positioning and moving material.
- Inspect equipment, structures or materials to identify the cause of errors or other defects.
- Perform activities that require the use of his arms and legs using the whole body such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking and stooping and the handling of materials.
- Observing, receiving, and obtaining information from the relevant sources to complete work piece.
- Monitor and review information from materials to detect or assess problems.
- Identifying information, estimating, recognizing differences or similarities and changes in events to complete work piece.
- Controlling machines and various processes
- Use hand held and bench-mounted power tools.
- Interpret technical drawings.
- Mark out structural fabrications and shapes.
- Plan work activities.
- Assemble fabricated components.
- Repair, replace and/or modify fabrications.

**Job Type**: Temporary
Contract length: 1 month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Certificate (preferred)
