Retail Shopfitter

**Position: Shopfitter**

**Reports to: Dispatch / Installation Supervisor**

**Position Summary**:
We are seeking an experienced Shop Fitter to join our team. As a Shop Fitter, you will be responsible for carrying out a range of installation and fitting tasks to ensure that our clients' retail spaces are functional, attractive, and meet their specific requirements

**Education/Qualifications**:

- Matric is preferred

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
- Interpret and work from shopfitting plans and blueprints.
- Execute timber work, including cutting, shaping, and assembling wooden components.
- Measuring and cutting materials to size
- Fitting and installing shelves, cabinets, countertops, and other retail fixtures
- Collaborate with the project manager and design team to troubleshoot and provide innovative solutions.
- Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.
- Maintaining a safe and clean work environment
- Adhere to project timelines and budgets.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a Shop Fitter or similar role
- Proven Carpentry experience
- Proven experience in solid surfaces is advantageous
- Computer literate with the ability to navigate Google Drive
- A strong understanding of technical drawings and specifications
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- A valid Code 10 driver's license and reliable transportation
- Frequent night work and onsite stay over
- A commitment to working safely and efficiently.

Expected hours: 40 - 60 per week

- Westmead, KwaZulu-Natal: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

- Code 10 (required)

Willingness to travel:
