**PURPOSE OF THE JOB**

The Fitter will perform mechanical work related to preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance on all plant equipment. The Fitter plays a vital role in the task of ensuring maximum machine availability to production.

**REPORTING TO: Maintenance Manager**

**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**
- The person will be dedicated to the Corrugator and will be responsible for maintenance, breakdowns, work orders (job cards) and other requests from Production.
- Reduction of Downtime & Improvement of Corrugator performance (long term) will also form part of the Corrugator Fitter’s responsibilities.

**REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE**
- Matric
- NTC level (N3/N4)
- Computer literate
- Forklift licence advantageous
- Trade Tested
- Minimum experience of 3 years
- Knowledge on preventative maintenance
- Maintenance Planning exposure
- Experience of Corrugating equipment (operation & maintenance)
- Knowledge of starch making and steam systems
- Fault finding skills
- Problem solving exposure

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Somerset West, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
